Integrated Care Centre – Site Hoarding Project

Sponsored by Community 1st Oldham and NHS Oldham, the students on the National Diploma and Pre Degree Foundation Art and Design courses at Oldham College teamed up to come up with images based on the three themes of ‘community’, ‘regeneration’ and ‘healthy living’ which were then created into giant painted murals which covered the hoardings around the new town centre ICC construction site.

This project was recognised by Oldham Council regeneration department as a “regeneration in excellence” exemplar.

Jo Manship, curriculum manager for visual arts at the Oldham College, said: “We’re very pleased to be involved with this project. The work as a whole has brought together individuals from different cultures and backgrounds in creating a striking piece of collaborative work that hopefully communicates a positive message for our community.”
