Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre Public Realm Works Update

Community 1st Oldham is happy to announce that the greater part of the works to the new Royton public realm has been completed and the majority of the space is now open.

The new public realm space was developed under a section 278 agreement as part of the planning condition for the new Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre.

The space has now been handed over to Oldham Council and Unity Partnership to manage as part of the agreement.

There are still some outstanding works for  vehicle access and final road surfacing which await final agreement with the Oldham Council highways team and which we hope will be completed shortly.

Please note that any issues related to car parking, traffic and road improvement works are the responsibility of the Oldham Council highways team not Community 1st Oldham or NHS Oldham.

Community 1st Oldham has undertaken the works to improve the public area in front of Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre in partnership with Oldham Council and NHS Oldham to create a modern, open space for building users and local residents which will contribute to the vibrancy of Royton town centre.

For more information on the final works, please keep checking the Community 1st Oldham website.
