The annual Oldham Festival of Diversity saw the launch of an exciting photographic exhibition from some of Oldham’s most talented young photographers.
Given the chance to make their mark in health history, 30 photographs of Oldham’s most beautiful and impressive natural landscapes went on show in July at various venues around Oldham.
These have been shortlisted from scores of pictures commissioned from visual arts students at The Oldham College, by Oldham Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Community 1st Oldham Limited, the company delivering Oldham’s LIFT scheme.
The main exhibition display has now moved from Oldham Library into the main foyer of the Civic Centre where you still have the opportunity to view the excellent talent on show and vote for Oldham favourite photos.
The six winning photos will ultimately feature as vast landscapes at the heart of the six colour-coded floors of Oldham’s £20m integrated care centre (ICC), which opens in summer 2009 and a scale model of the ICC is also on display in the Civic Centre. Each picture will represent one colour – blue, green, grey, orange, purple or red.
The deadline for voting for these photos is Friday August 15, with the winning entries being announced in early September.
Please support Oldham’s local talent and have your say on your favourite photographs.
