The local community in Chadderton are invited to take part in a family art workshop afternoon to help Oldham Council and Community 1st Oldham brighten up the building site of the exciting new Chadderton Health and Well Being Centre currently under construction off Burnley Street in Chadderton.
Once built the new centre will bring together a range of organisations including key Council services and the Police under one roof, to deliver joined up services at a local level and ensures that the community have access to excellent facilities including a 25-metre swimming pool, library, community meeting rooms and a fitness suite.
A further family art workshop will also be taking place on Saturday 2nd August. Both family events are being led by tutors from the visual arts department of Oldham College.
For anyone interested in a fun family afternoon the first workshop is taking place at Chadderton Library on Wednesday 30th July from 2.30pm and a second family workshop on Saturday 2nd August from 10.00am.
Details are also being advertised locally in the Chadderton Library and sports centre.
The new Wellbeing Centre planned for Chadderton is being led by Oldham Council and is being developed as part of the award winning LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) initiative in Oldham by the borough’s LIFTco, Community 1st Oldham Limited.
